Freedom Expo is pleased to announce timely and notable guest speaker Michael Maharrey of the Tenth Amendment Center.
Maharrey serves as TAC’s national communications director. He is a Bluegrass State native and resides in Lexington, KY. His home state of Kentucky laid the foundation for state nullification with the Principles of ’98 -the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798.
Maharrey is the author of Our Last Hope – Rediscovering the Lost Road to Liberty, “a historical, philosophical, and moral case for nullification.”
Michael, a journalist who studied Mass Communications and Media Studies, earned his degree at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. He also has a B.S. degree in Accounting from University of Kentucky. As a lifelong student, he furthers his knowledge through informal study of “constitutional history, political philosophy, and economics”
As a writer and reporter, Michael has worked for the St. Petersburg Times and the Kentucky Gazette, his coverage encompassing local and state politics, and sports. As a journalist, his web content contributed to a local television station’s award-winning website.
A renowned national guest speaker, Michael is a frequent guest on local and national radio broadcasts that advance constitutional principles and liberty through empowered states and a decentralized federal government. In January, he was a guest speaker at the Sharonville Public Library on the subject of nullification.
Michael is a married father of three. He fervently defends the Constitution and indulges his love of hockey in his spare time.
